“From vulnerability to vision — empowering women, girls, and youth to lead change”
“Together, we build safer, stronger, and more resilient communities across Kurdistan and Iraq”
Who We Are
Better World Organization for Community Development (BWOCD) is a fully women-led NGO founded in 2017 in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and registered in Baghdad in 2019. We work to transform the lives of women, girls, and youth — from vulnerability to leadership and vision.
We believe that when women, girls, and youth are safe from discrimination, socially and economically empowered, emotionally resilient, and part of cohesive, climate-prepared communities, Iraq becomes a healthier and more harmonious society.
