Shaping Creative Pathways for Youth Resilience

As part of the project “Enhancing Psychosocial Resilience in Duhok’s Youth Through Art-Based Education and Family Support,” implemented by the Better World Organization for Community Development in coordination with the General Directorate of Education in Duhok (GDOE), a one-day workshop was organized by SRD Training and Education Company.

The workshop provided a collaborative platform to present and discuss the findings of the Baseline Assessment Report conducted by SRD. It brought together key stakeholders to reflect on the current needs, opportunities, and gaps in supporting youth psychosocial wellbeing through creative and educational approaches.

Through open dialogue and knowledge-sharing, participants contributed valuable insights and practical recommendations aimed at shaping the development of an inclusive and impactful art-based curriculum. The discussions emphasized the importance of integrating creative learning methods that support emotional expression, resilience, and positive engagement among young people.

The session also highlighted the importance of translating assessment findings into actionable strategies that strengthen coordination among stakeholders and ensure that interventions are responsive to the needs of youth and their families.

By fostering collaboration between education actors and implementing partners, the initiative contributes to building stronger pathways for youth wellbeing, while reinforcing family and community resilience through innovative, art-based approaches.
