Today, the Better World Organization for Community Development (BWOCD) proudly marks nine years of journey, resilience, learning, and impact.
For nine years, we have walked alongside women, girls, youth, and communities across Duhok and Ninewa, listening, supporting, learning, and growing together. What started as a belief in the power of youth and women’s leadership has grown into a journey filled with stories of courage, healing, resilience, empowerment, and hope.
Throughout these years, we have faced challenges, uncertainties, and difficult moments. Yet every experience has strengthened our commitment to continue supporting women, girls, and youth to lead safer, more inclusive, and more resilient futures and communities.
This anniversary is not only about celebrating achievements. It is about honoring every woman who found her voice, every young person who stepped into leadership, every team member who gave their heart to this work, every partner who trusted us, and every community that welcomed us.
We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who has been part of this journey over the past nine years. Your trust, support, and belief continue to inspire us every day.
