Launch of Family Counseling Curriculum to Enhance Family Safety

On June 18th, Better World, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Care and Social Development, presented the first draft of the Family Counseling Curriculum as part of our project “Enhancing Safe Environment in Families from the Host Community in Duhok City.” This event gathered key stakeholders from the government, NGOs, INGOs, and the media to discuss the curriculum’s importance, development stages, and detailed content.
Stakeholders shared valuable insights and recommendations, ensuring the curriculum addresses community needs and promotes family safety in Duhok City. Ms. Zakiya Said Saleh, Representative of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to this initiative, highlighting its efforts to lead by example in supporting family welfare.
This collaborative effort marks a significant step towards creating a safer and more supportive environment for families in Duhok City. We are grateful for the participation and look forward to continued collaboration as we refine and implement this vital resource. Stay tuned for updates on the curriculum’s progress and upcoming training sessions.
