Where We Work

BWOCD operates across multiple locations in the Kurdistan Region and Ninewa, supporting vulnerable communities through field-based projects and partnerships. The organization is committed to addressing the needs of populations facing displacement, poverty, and other vulnerabilities, ensuring that its interventions are targeted, effective, and community-focused.

BWOCD operates within the legal framework of Iraq and is officially registered with both the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Central Government of Iraq. This registration demonstrates the organization’s commitment to implementing its activities in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, reinforcing transparency and accountability in all its operations.

Since its establishment, BWOCD has made steady progress in delivering projects in both camp and non-camp settings. The organization responds to the needs of vulnerable populations through targeted, community-based interventions, ranging from protection and education to resilience-building programs. Through strategic geographic focus and strong partnerships, BWOCD continues to expand its reach and impact, ensuring that more communities benefit from its services.

In Duhok Governorate, BWOCD implements projects in camps and non-camp locations, providing ongoing support to both displaced populations and host communities. The interventions are designed to address immediate humanitarian needs as well as long-term community development goals.

In Ninewa Governorate, BWOCD works in sub-districts including Al-Hamdaniya, Shingal, Rabia, and surrounding areas. Programs in this region focus on protection, education, and community resilience, aiming to empower individuals and strengthen the social fabric of affected communities.

To date, BWOCD has implemented multiple projects across these areas, with a strong focus on protection, education, and women’s empowerment.
