Kasar Abdulla Independent Consultant specializing in Collective Impact, Public Policy, Education, Conflict Mediation, and Social Justice An American-Kurd and refugee from Iraq, Kasar brings 30+ years of lived experience and professional expertise to her work in social justice, organizational leadership, and human-centered development. A long-time advocate, mediator, and organizer, she has received numerous honors including President Obama’s “Champion of Change” (2013), YWCA’s Academy for Women of Achievement (2018), and Nashville Business Journal’s Women of Influence (2022). Kasar holds a Master of Arts in Conflict Management & Mediation from Lipscomb University and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Tennessee State University. She served as Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer at Valor Collegiate Academies and as Director of Advocacy & Education at Tennessee Immigrant & Refugee Rights Coalition. She co-founded the American Muslim Advisory Council and has served on numerous boards including Nashville Public Library Foundation, Maddox Foundation, and YWCA.
