The Better World Organization for Community Development (BWOCD) is pleased to announce that it has been selected as one of six partner organizations in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq to implement activities under the Iraqi Women Economic Empowerment (IWEE) Project, launched by Expertise France (EF) and supported by the Agence Française de Développement (AFD).
The IWEE initiative aims to strengthen women’s economic participation across the Kurdistan Region and Iraq by promoting entrepreneurship, access to finance, tailored capacity-building programs, and business development support. By creating opportunities for women to start, grow, and sustain their own enterprises, the project contributes to more inclusive economic growth and greater empowerment of women within their communities.
Through this partnership, BWOCD will work closely with local women from aspiring entrepreneurs to established business owners to help them develop their skills, expand their businesses, and access new economic opportunities. The initiative also seeks to support women in building sustainable livelihoods while contributing to stronger and more resilient local economies.
BWOCD is proud to be part of this collaborative effort and looks forward to advancing women’s economic empowerment across the Kurdistan Region.
