On December 9, 2024, our team proudly participated in the USAID Tahfeez Community Exchange Event held in Erbil, as part of the project “Building Bridges Between Youth Through Interactive Participation in Shekhan.” The event served as an important platform for collaboration, learning, and strengthening partnerships among USAID-supported initiatives.
The Community Exchange Event brought together representatives and partners from USAID projects operating in Shekhan, Shore, and Shirqat, creating a dynamic space to exchange experiences, share lessons learned, and discuss both challenges and achievements. The gathering reflected the spirit of cooperation and collective impact that drives sustainable community development.
During the event, our team presented the key milestones and accomplishments of the Shekhan project. These included a series of capacity-building sessions aimed at enhancing youth skills and leadership, awareness campaigns focused on civic engagement and community responsibility, and various environmental initiatives promoting sustainability and climate awareness. The project has worked to empower young people by providing them with opportunities to actively participate in shaping their communities and contributing to positive change.
Engaging with fellow partners allowed for meaningful discussions, knowledge-sharing, and reflection on best practices. The exchange of ideas not only strengthened professional networks but also inspired new approaches to addressing community needs.
