From 26–29 December 2025, Kawther M. Saeed, Deputy Director and Program Manager of Better World Organization for Community Development (BWOCD), represented the organization at an international climate forum in Malaysia. The event brought together participants from diverse countries and backgrounds, providing a unique platform for sharing perspectives, discussing climate-related challenges, and exploring innovative approaches to environmental action.
The forum focused on climate issues and youth engagement, offering an opportunity to learn from global experiences and observe how different regions are addressing environmental concerns. Participants exchanged ideas, shared strategies, and explored ways to enhance youth involvement in climate advocacy and action. For BWOCD, this engagement offered valuable insight into how climate priorities are framed and implemented across varied contexts.
Participation in international forums such as this aligns with BWOCD’s broader commitment to remaining connected to regional and global conversations, while continuously reflecting on how these discussions relate to local realities. By engaging with peers, experts, and youth activists, the organization can identify approaches that are both innovative and adaptable to the communities it serves.
The experience has already contributed to ongoing reflection within BWOCD on climate priorities, youth engagement, and context-sensitive programming. Lessons learned from the forum will help guide future initiatives, ensuring that the organization’s climate-related work remains informed by global knowledge while rooted in practical, locally relevant solutions.
